Chris Longridge is an artist based in Kent. He works primarily in oils and explores the limitations and opportunities afforded by paint in a post-digital environment.
Chris won the Jackson’s Painting Prize (Portrait and Figure) in 2023 and exhibited in the Rising Artists exhibition at London’s Bankside Gallery and at the Affordable Art Fair.
He later won scan.art’s Emerging Artist Prize in 2024 and exhibited in Graz, Frankfurt and Dubai.
You might also remember him from Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year; on his various appearances he painted Noel Clarke , Elaine Paige and Katie Piper. He also exhibited in the Portrait Artist of the Year retrospective at Compton Verney in 2022.
