Chris Longridge is an artist based in Kent. He works primarily in oils and explores the limitations and opportunities afforded by paint in a post-digital environment.

Chris won the Jackson’s Painting Prize (Portrait and Figure) in 2023 and exhibited in the Rising Artists exhibition at London’s Bankside Gallery and at the Affordable Art Fair.

You might also remember him from Sky Arts’ Portrait Artist of the Year; he won his heat in 2020 by painting Noel Clarke (who also selected his painting to take home) and painted Elaine Paige in the semi-final.

He returned the following year and painted Katie Piper in his heat (she also chose his painting to take home). He also exhibited in the Portrait Artist of the Year retrospective at Compton Verney in 2022.

Chris is (sometimes) available for commission - please see the Contact page for details.
