Why paint? Images are cheap: anyone with a phone can fake up a Monet. But all images are only worth what their creators bring to their creation. For me, paint itself is the subject of painting; paintings are the subject of painting; and in exploring the relationship of painted imagery to our experiences of space, time and history we reconnect art with humanity.
